AFED Lagos is the Lagos State arm of the Association for Formidable Educational Development — a national body uniting private school proprietors to raise standards, support vulnerable families, and ensure no child is left on the streets because of school fees.
Who We Are
The Association for Formidable Educational Development (AFED) is a national educational body committed to advancing inclusive, accessible and quality education across Nigeria. AFED advocates for low-income families, working through collaboration and strategic partnerships with governments, education stakeholders, schools and communities to improve access to education and raise standards nationwide.
AFED Lagos Chapter is the Lagos State arm of this movement — bringing together education stakeholders across every Local Government to champion educational development, support vulnerable families and strengthen the Nigerian education sector from the ground up.

To be a world-leading association of low-fee education service providers — a trusted voice raising standards for every child, regardless of household income.
To promote an enabling platform for low-fee education providers to achieve better education standards, through collaboration with government and stakeholders across Lagos State.
Membership
Membership is built on two simple things: what proprietors gain by belonging, and what staying financially up to date keeps open to them.
Registered proprietors join a community of fellow school owners, gain a united voice before government and regulators, and access training, seminars and technical advisory support.

From quality-control inspection guidance to welfare support in times of need, AFED works to raise the standard of every member school and protect the wellbeing of every proprietor.

How AFED Is Organised

Local government chapters coordinating members within each council area.
