What We Do
From examinations to welfare, AFED Lagos runs a full calendar of activities designed to raise standards and support every member school and the families it serves.
Flagship Programs

A standardised Primary 6 examination sat across member schools, benchmarking learning outcomes and preparing pupils for a confident transition into secondary school.

Advocacy, learning-material support and fee-relief coordination that keeps vulnerable, low-income pupils enrolled rather than out on the streets.

Seminars, workshops, lectures and symposia for proprietors and teachers, with CPE certificates issued to participants each year.
National Program Pillars
Coordinated access to teaching aids, registers, curricula and educational policy documents produced and distributed through the Publications Committee.
Site inspection, task-force review and technical advisory support that helps member schools meet and maintain regulatory standards.
Access to the AFED Multipurpose Cooperative Society, offering loans and financial products to help proprietors invest in their schools.
Consultancy support for new school establishment, teacher training and day-to-day school management.
Article 21 · AFED Working Committees
Each committee is chaired by an Exco officer and staffed by up to seven members drawn from within and outside the Exco.
Members' Welfare & Development
Annual inter-zone sporting competitions in football, table tennis, athletics and more — for unification and recreation.
Procurement and sale of branded educational tools — registers, diaries, chalk and stationery — at competitive cost for members.
State, LGA/LCDA and Zonal excursions to resort centres, libraries and workplaces — broadening learning beyond the classroom.
Cash and material support in bereavement, critical illness, and other emergencies, drawn from the Contingency Fund Account.
